Production tool

Ask Again Later – Studio

An internal production tool used to support the creation, management, and publishing of Ask Again Later content.

It is used only by the owner of the Ask Again Later YouTube channel, signed in with their own Google account, and works only with that channel. It is not a public app: there are no user accounts and no sign-up.

Google permissions

  • YouTube youtube.upload

    Google’s documentation: “Manage your YouTube videos.”

    Used to: Upload the channel's own finished, owner-approved videos as private videos, and set their thumbnails.

    Never used to: make videos public or schedule them; edit, replace or delete existing videos; post or manage comments.

  • YouTube youtube.readonly

    Google’s documentation: “View your YouTube account.”

    Used to: Confirm the signed-in channel is Ask Again Later. Check the status of the channel's own uploads. Read the channel's own aggregate YouTube Analytics, such as views, watch time, likes and audience retention.

    Never used to: receive information about individual viewers; access any other channel.

  • Google Drive drive.file

    Google’s documentation: “Create new Drive files, or modify existing files, that you open with an app or that the user shares with an app while using the Google Picker API or the app's file picker.”

    Used to: Back up the channel's finished video files to the owner's own Google Drive, in folders the tool creates, and verify each backup.

    Never used to: open, read or list any other Drive file; delete files.

The tool does not request your name, email address, contacts or access to any other Google service.

Your data

Information received from Google is used only for the purposes above. It is not sold, not used for advertising and not shared except as described in the Privacy Policy. The tool's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Revoking access

Access can be removed at any time from your Google Account's third-party access settings. To ask for related records to be deleted, email AskAgainLater.Studio@gmail.com.
